Lakeview Resort in Morgantown is a popular spot for weddings in North Central West Virginia. On Thursday night, the resort gave away $10,000 to one lucky couple for its celebrations.
Thirteen couples who booked their weddings at the resort walked away with prizes, but only one received the grand prize of $10,000 to go towards their food and beverages.
Grand prize winner Kristen Kelley said she's really excited. "I can't wait to go home and call my mom," said Kelley.
"Everybody seemed to have a great time, everybody made friends tonight. We had food and drinks for everyone. We had live music and everyone seemed to have a great time," said wedding specialist Megan Smith.
Smith said the resort was only able to offer this giveaway because of the support of their vendors.
