Morgantown Activists Protest Fiscal Cliff

Posted: Updated:

Protesters in Morgantown took to the streets Friday to show displeasure with Congress over the fiscal cliff.

With signs in hand, a few people stood along University Avenue near the Westover Bridge Friday.

Protesters said they are unhappy with Tuesday's fiscal cliff deal they said didn't address the issues, and is too short term.

"It's a Band-Aid on a bigger wound, and a lot of it expires in a few months anyway's," said protester Abra Sitler. "So we're out here to generally raise awareness, to get people riled up, write to their congressmen to get out here and protest. Congress isn't doing their job, so we feel like we're out here doing ours."
