Several area fire departments responded to a trailer fire in Preston County on Friday afternoon.

It happened on Marquess Road in Fellowsville around 1:20 p.m. Fellowsville fire chief Matthew Clarkson said the trailer was unoccupied at the time of the fire and had no working utilities.

Fire departments from Tunnelton, Thornton, and Grafton also responded to the fire. Clarkson said it took crews more than an hour to extinguish the flames.

Clarkson said the trailer is heavily damaged and will likely be ruled a total loss.

The State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating.
