nTelos Wireless reported its service was back up and running around 8:30 p.m. on Sunday night. 

It released the following statement on its Facebook Page:

"The network outages previously reported are NOW RESTORED. A big THANK YOU to our WV, KY, and OH customers for your patience. If you are continuing to experience issues, please Facebook message or email fbonline@ntelos.com and provide your phone number and location so we can follow up."

A representative from Straight Talk said Sprint and AT&T customers in the Charleston area were having problems because a tower was down.  It said that outage could take up to 24 hours to be fixed. 

Boost Mobile said some of its customers experienced web issues because it was upgrading its Internet services.

12 News spoke with several cell phone carriers that confirmed service outages on Sunday night.

The following providers confirmed a service issue in parts of West Virginia:  nTelos, Sprint, Nextel and Virgin Mobile.

The carriers could not provide any details on when service would be restored.

The following statement was posted on the nTelos Facebook Page Sunday:

"Our network team is currently reporting a service outage in WV. We are working quickly to restore services and will post updates as available. Thank you for your patience."
