The Randolph County Sheriff's Office is welcoming two new deputies.

Sheriff Mark Brady said the department now has 10 deputies.

Sheriff Brady said one new deputy is from South Carolina and the other is from New Martinsville, W.Va.

Brady said he wants to provide more law enforcement coverage for the county.

"This is not ideal we only have 10 deputies, we're the largest county in the state of West Virginia and we would like to increase that, and I'll be working with the Randolph County Commission to see what we can afford as far as law enforcement to increase this staffing of the deputy sheriffs this year," Brady said.

Brady said the department has enough work available for extra deputies.

The new deputies will begin their duties next month.
