    An electrical fire destroyed a home in Harrison County Tuesday night. The Harrison County 911 Center said it started just after 12:15 a.m. on Locust Street in Salem. It said the fire appears to be suspicious.

Fairmont Police are investigating an armed robbery at a convenience store on Monday night.

It happened just after 11:30 p.m. at the Mountaineer Mart on Locust Avenue.

Police said the robber entered the store, brandished a handgun and demanded money and cigarettes from the clerk. The robber then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes.

No injuries were sustained during the robbery, according to police.

The robber was described as a white male with red or auburn hair, police said.
