    An electrical fire destroyed a home in Harrison County Tuesday night. The Harrison County 911 Center said it started just after 12:15 a.m. on Locust Street in Salem. It said the fire appears to be suspicious.

ELKINS -

Dawn Walker was appointed as senior admission counselor at Davis & Elkins College. She will represent D&E at college fairs and in high schools throughout Pennsylvania to seek out potential students.

Walker's additional responsibilities are finding students who are a good fit for D&E, assessing their applications and assisting them throughout the admission process.

She earned a bachelor of science degree in communications media in 1997 from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She brings with her 12 years of experience in sales, marketing and recruiting. 

From 2010 to 2012, Walker was an admissions representative and recruiter for Douglas Education Center in Monessen, Pa. She worked previously as a sales representative for the commercial security industry for six years.
