The Department of Homeland Security has given the Salem Police Department a sub-grant in the amount of $25,000.

Bridgeport Police have arrested a Clarksburg man and charged him with embezzlement from his employer that spanned from June 2012 until November 2012.

Bridgeport Police arrested Michael Allman, 24, for embezzling more than $69,000 from Mountaineer Smart Start located on Main Street in Bridgeport.

Mountaineer Smart Start installs breath alcohol analyzer systems in vehicles. Allman was the sole employee at the Bridgeport location during the time of the embezzlement, according to Detective Brian Kemmerer.

The owner of Mountaineer Smart Start, based in northern Pa., noticed a drop in revenue and contacted police.

Allman was arraigned and released on $5,000 bond.
