An electrical fire destroyed a home in Harrison County Tuesday night. The Harrison County 911 Center said it started just after 12:15 a.m. on Locust Street in Salem. It said the fire appears to be suspicious.

It's easy to give back to Harrison County's chapter of the United Way. All it takes is a nice meal at Ruby Tuesday on Emily Drive in Clarksburg.
Ruby Tuesday will donate 20 percent of purchases to the United Way when customers present a flyer to their servers.
"There's a flyer that we've been circulating through constant contact, through Facebook through our website," said Marie Battles, executive director of Harrison County United Way. "It's very simple. People just need to download that flyer, and they will just present it to their server when they're ready to pay their bill, and United Way benefits."
Battles said the fundraiser will be on the second Thursday of every month throughout 2013.
The United Way still needs about $50,000 to reach its 2013 campaign goal, so every dollar counts. "Like" the United Way on Facebook, or visit its website to download the flyer.
