The Clarksburg Police Department has arrested a man and charged him with malicious wounding.

The Clarksburg Police Department has arrested Christopher Donald Brown, 31, after he was seen trying to drag a man into a Mulberry Avenue residence. Witnesses told police they heard Russell Plaugher moaning and laying motionless outside.

Plaugher was bleeding uncontrollably, according to the criminal complaint. Brown told police Plaugher made him mad so he beat Plaugher.

Plaugher was flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital as a result of his injuries. He is listed in good condition, according to hospital officials.

Brown is being held in North Central Regional Jail on $10,000 bail.
