LEWIS COUNTY -
The Lewis County Sheriff's Department has arrested two people for operating a meth lab.
David Ables and Megan Mitchell were taken into custody early Sunday morning for operating a small lab.
Deputies were responding to another call when they discovered evidence of the lab.
Sheriff Adam Gissy said the arrests are just the latest success story in a renewed effort to stop drugs in Lewis County.
"We're happy to have curtailed some of that problem that could have been occurring out there. We're hoping that we can continue to strive to get these drug dealers behind bars," said Gissy.
Ables and Mitchell are both currently in the Central Regional Jail. Bail is not yet set.
