BRIDGEPORT -

Bridgeport Middle School's production of Alice in Wonderland Jr. will hit the stage next week.

Sunday afternoon the school held two dress rehearsals. One served to help the tech crew and one was for the students.

The students and faculty have been preparing the play for almost two months with the help of Bridgeport High School theatre students.

One of the middle school students said that the school's production will be different from the original Alice in Wonderland.

"This is for young kids. We have to put a twist on it to make it so it's a little more ‘modern day-ish.' So we called it Alice in Wonderland Jr. It's not the traditional stories" said Callia Byard, Bridgeport Middle School student.

Performances are scheduled for January 17th, 18th, and 19th at 7 p.m. and January 20th at 2 p.m.
