A Morgantown football player has decided he will be a Duke at the next level.
Morgantown High's Blaine Stewart verbally committed Sunday to play football at James Madison University.
Stewart broke the news via his personal Twitter account.
According to Max Preps a high school sports web site, Steward finished the season with 41 receptions, more than 600 yards, and 6 receiving touchdowns.
Stewart informed coaches while making his third visit to JMU.
He said he really likes the campus, players and coaches, and is excited to play.
"It's a dream come true," said Stewart. "Looking up to guys for as long as I can remember, just seeing them, and now me getting the opportunity to do that is special and I'm thankful for the opportunity."
Stewart is the son of the late Bill Stewart, a former WVU football coach. James Madison is an FCS School. The Dukes finished the year at 7 and 4.
