One person was taken to United Hospital Center after a three-vehicle accident in Bridgeport Monday.
The accident occurred around 4 p.m. on Interstate 79 near mile marker 124 in Harrison County.
Officials said a car was traveling southbound on I-79 when it hit another car, lost control and flipped over the median, landing in the northbound lanes. Something then flew off the car, and hit another car traveling on the roadway.
The driver of the car that flipped over the median was taken to UHC with non life-threatening injuries. Officials said no one else was injured.
Two out of the three northbound lanes were closed following the accident, but have since reopened.
Bridgeport Police, the Bridgeport Fire Department, and Bridgeport EMS all responded.
