State Police have arrested a Buckhannon man on battery charges.

State Police said Roger Tiffner, 33, repeatedly punched a man in the face during an altercation last month.

They also said Tiffner hit a woman in the face when she tried to stop the fight.

The man suffered serious injures.

Tiffner is in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail with bail set at $100,000.
