Elkins will soon be home to a new state-of-the-art animal hospital.

Appalachian Animal Hospital is building a new 6,000 square foot facility in the Historic Railroad Yard.

The hospital will feature surgical and recovery areas, boarding, and an outside exercise area.

The hospital said it has seen an increase in clients and outgrew its present location.

The new animal hospital should be finished late this summer.
