BUCKHANNON -
If you're looking for a place to hold that special occasion, then a new event center in Buckhannon is just the place.
Mountain View Event Center will officially open this weekend.
It can hold anything from wedding receptions and high school reunions, to birthday parties and baby showers.
The banquet style hall can seat up to 150 people, and features a stage area and full service kitchen.
"There really wasn't that much offered here in Buckhannon," said Lisa Shaw, of Mountain View Event Center. "Some of them were outdated or so that's what we thought and we thought we'd come up with something a little bit more up to date, a little bit easier access and just something nice."
The event center is located off Brushy Fork Road and is available seven days a week. You can also find them on Facebook.
