WV Wesleyan College Announces American Scholar Program Finalists

West Virginia Wesleyan College announced the finalists for its seventh annual American Scholar Program Wednesday, according to a news release from W.Va. Wesleyan College.

The finalists for the scholar program are:

  • Conner Ferguson of Glenville, WV, Gilmer County High School
  • Logan Godfrey of Clarksburg, WV, Robert C. Byrd High School
  • Christopher Gum of Camden, WV, Lewis County High School
  • Andrea Heater of Salem, WV, Liberty High School
  • Hunter Hirsh of Morgantown, WV, Morgantown High School
  • Ryan Holcomb of Lumberport, WV, Lincoln High School
  • Samara Kendrick of Clarksburg, W, Liberty High School
  • Susan King of Fairmont, WV, East Fairmont High School
  • Kelsie Krantz of Elkins, WV, Elkins High School
  • Katilyn Romain of Bridgeport, WV, Bridgeport High School
  • Christen Saab of Bridgeport, WV, Bridgeport High School
  • Mason Winkie of Bridgeport, WV, Bridgeport High School

West Virginia Wesleyan, in collaboration with Magic 106.5, provides students from the Magic 106.5 listening area the chance to compete for a full, four-year scholarship to the college that includes tuition, room, and board, according to the news release.

The first and second runners-up will receive four-year scholarships of $5,000 and $2,500, respectively, in addition to other W.Va. Wesleyan academic awards, officials said.

Winners will be announced on January 21 at the American Scholar Day at West Virginia Wesleyan College.
