A man who pleaded guilty to the rape and robbery of an elderly woman in Clarksburg in 2002 could get a new trial.

DNA evidence used in the case against Joseph Buffey matches another man, Adam Bowers, according to Buffey's attorney.

Buffey and Bowers' attorneys agreed to test the original DNA further in Harrison County Court.

A hearing to determine if there is sufficient evidence to set a new trial has been scheduled for March 27.
