A Marion County man accused of murdering his father-in-law was in court Wednesday for a pre-trial hearing.

Michael Palmer, 32, has been charged with first degree murder in the death of Everett Wilson.

Judge Michael Aloi granted several motions presented by Palmer's attorney, including a request for co-council and access to phone records.

The court will also allow Palmer to meet with his wife Kristyn Palmer to "discuss options".

Kristyn Palmer also faces a first degree murder charge in her father's death.

Michael Palmer's trial is scheduled to begin January 28.
