BUCKHANNON -

The Upshur County Regional Airport held an information open house Wednesday.

The airport's goal was to show its master plan, and the improvements to be made over the next 20 years.

The improvements include safety and increased efficiency at the airport. Project Manager Richard Osborne said that the master plan is a project that is required for all airports that receive grant funding.

"I think it's a great little airport. A lot of people are not to aware of it because it's so high on the hill. There doing good things and it's growing, and I think it's going to be positive changes for the community and the future," Osborne said.

Osborne also said that growth at the airport could mean more jobs becoming available for the Upshur County area.
