HUNTINGTON, WV -

Mountwest Community and Technical College recently became the first community college in West Virginia to add a college resource officer to its campus.
Leaders with the Cabell County Sheriff's Department have agreed to provide onsite law enforcement for the college, and Sgt. R.H. "Bob" McQuaid was selected to fill the position.
McQuaid has more than 26 years of experience in law enforcement in West Virginia and has worked for the Cabell County Sheriff's Department since 1996.
During his time with the Sheriff's Department, McQuaid worked for the Road Patrol, K-9 Unit, Special Operations Unit, the Detective Bureau and the Judicial Division. He also was assigned to the Fugitive Task Force, working under the direction of the U.S. Marshals Service.
