The Lewis County Sheriff's Department has arrested a Weston man and charged him with felony malicious wounding.
Benjamin Matthew Crim, 22, is accused of attempting to suffocate his mother with a pillow before stabbing her, according to a criminal complaint document.
Crim was pacing when his mother, Debra Lynne Davis, asked him what was wrong. Crim then left the room, got a pillow and forcefully put it over her face. Davis fought Crim off, but he went to the kitchen and got a pan and struck her with it. Crim then got an eight-inch kitchen knife and stabbed her in the right upper arm, according to the criminal complaint.
Crim is being held in Central Regional Jail on $50,000 bail.
