Fifty people were arraigned in Harrison County Circuit Court Thursday.

Shawn Kinser pleaded not guilty to two counts of felony for the offense of murder and offense of carrying a weapon without a license. The authorities said Kinser shot and killed Nicholas Allen after an argument over a drug deal. His trial is set for March 25.

Kelsey Turner also pleaded not guilty. She was charged with 41 counts of child abuse resulting in bodily injury, 19 counts of malicious wounding, and one count each of obstructing a law enforcement officer, child abuse creating a substantial risk for serious bodily injury, and presentation of false information regarding child's injuries.

The judge denied Turner's request to reduce her bail from $1.1 million to $250,000.

Traci Cook, state prosecutor, said in court, "this is the worst case of child abuse I've ever seen. That's not a lie."

The Harrison County Sheriff's Department arrested Turner and Frank Cherubino after a doctor found bruises, bite marks, and a bump on the head of Turner's two-year-old child.

Cherubino pleaded not guilty to one count each of gross child neglect, obstruction, and use of a minor to produce obscene matter. He is currently out of jail on bail.

Turner and Cherubino will have a joint trial on April 1.

William Duane Bouie pleaded not guilty to charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and fleeing from an officer.

He is in the North Central Regional Jail with bail set at $20,000. His trial date is set for February 25.
