Several counties in West Virginia have already started celebrating the state's sesquicentennial. Marion County has a very rich history and now its residents are ready to celebrate how far it has come.
Several counties in West Virginia have already started celebrating the state's sesquicentennial. Marion County has a very rich history and now its residents are ready to celebrate how far it has come.

The Randolph County Commission has received for bids for utility upgrades to the county's courthouse basement.
The commission has been renovating the courthouse in stages.
The utility upgrades will include removal of old electrical and communication cables, replacement of waterlines, and remodeling of the basement to restore the old records.
Companies placing bids were Gum Construction Inc, Elkins Electrical Construction, Smith Backhoe and Dozer, and Triple H Construction.
The commission will review the bids and award the contract at its next meeting.
