The Morgantown Library is holding a winter series called Green Nights.

The first meeting held Thursday centered on Morgantown's new recycling program.

The session included a round table of experts from West Virginia University and the Morgantown Municipal Green Team.

The program showed how the new recycling program works, how to make recycling easy, and the future of recycling in the area.

"We're really getting serious about it. The city of Morgantown, city council, city administration is very serious about waste reduction, and that they understand this is just the beginning this is not the end this is where we start," said Tom Arnold from the city of Morgantown.

The next meeting will be on Thursday, February 7 where attendees can learn to make their own eco-safe cleaning products.

There is also a Green Night on Thursday, March 14 focusing on creating a wildlife friendly backyard.
