The State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating a fatal trailer fire that happened around 11:50 p.m. Thursday in Weston.

A 65-year-old man and three dogs died as a result of a fire on Lynn Avenue in Weston, according to Reed Cook, Deputy State Fire Marshal.

Flames were extinguished within 15 minutes of firefighters responding to the scene.

The cause of the fire isn't apparent at this time, but it does not appear to be suspicious, according to Cook.

The State Fire Marshal's Office is waiting for the man to be positively identified by the State Medical Examiner before releasing his name.

The Weston Fire Department, Weston Police Department, and the Lewis County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene.
