MORGANTOWN -
On Friday, Morgantown solid waste officials reported that the first week of collection for recycling is proving as successful as they hoped.
Thirty-five tons of recyclable materials have been collected. Residents can now recycle 17 different types of plastic, paper and metal without sorting.
Plans to improve the program include working with landlords to cut down on the number of toters at multiple-apartment student housing.
