MORGANTOWN -

Caritas House Inc. will conduct a street count of homeless individuals in Monongalia County on Jan. 24.

This is part of the 2013 Point-In-Time Count coordinated by the West Virginia Coalition to End Homelessness.

About 40 volunteers went to Milan Puskar Health Right in Morgantown on Saturday to train for this count.

The volunteers will ask the homeless to fill out a survey to help meet the needs of these people.

Participants will receive meals, warm weather gear, resource information and linkage to area service providers for unmet needs.
