BRIDGEPORT -

West Virginians for Life hosted a Pro Life Rally at the Bridgeport Conference Center Sunday.

The event was designed to help make the public aware of the damage abortion can do.

"This event today is designed to help people learn what it is, that is the damage has been done from abortion over these 40 years. We have researchers here who will talk about how abortion has hurt women, their families, the men in their lives, how it has damaged our society and caused economic stresses," said Wanda Franz, President of West Virginians for Life.

Numerous speakers who have done research on abortion were at the rally.

The event was in honor of the 40th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade. That was the decision that made abortion legal in the United States.
