MARION COUNTY -

Some Marion County municipalities are preparing for upcoming elections.

Candidate filing periods began one week ago in Fairview, Farmington, Monongah, Rivesville, White Hall, and Worthington.

Filing will continue until January 26.

Candidates must be 18 years old, be a registered voter, and live in the municipality.

Positions open:

  • Fairview: Mayor, recorder and five council seats. All positions are two-year terms. $5 filing fee.
  • Monongah: Mayor, recorder and five council seats. All positions are two-year terms. $20 filing fee.
  • Rivesville: Mayor, recorder and three council­ seats. $10 filing fee.
  • White Hall: Mayor, recorder and five council seats. All positions are two-year terms. $5 filing fee.
  • Worthington: Mayor, recorder and five council seats. $5 filing fee.
