A Preston County man is facing additional arson charges after being arrested earlier this month.

David Allen Ridenour, 49, was arrested January 9 after the State Fire Marshal's Office said he was responsible for setting a Terra Alta mobile home on fire on October 3.

On Tuesday, the State Fire Marshal's Office concluded that Ridenour is also responsible for setting a fire on October 16 that badly damaged an unoccupied home in the Corenth area of Preston County, near the Maryland border. Officials said a Terra Alta firefighter was injured while trying to extinguish the flames.

The State Fire Marshal's Office and Preston County authorities have investigated several arsons in the area over the past few years and feel that most of them are connected to one another.

Earlier this month, Ridenour was released on $50,000 bond from the Tygart Valley Regional Jail.

Authorities are looking for Ridenour in the Terra Alta area to serve the second warrant.

If you have any information regarding Ridenour's whereabouts, please contact the Preston County 911 Center at 304-329-0135.
