You can tell how cold it is just by looking. Just about everyone is wearing a winter coat and a hat, scarf, and gloves.

Employees at local coffee shop, Almost Heaven Desserts, said that when it gets cold outside people want to come inside for something warm to drink.

"When it's getting cold out you just want something hot like a nice cup of coffee or a hot cappuccino. I definitely, it'll be better for business especially when our regular customers are coming in before taking their kids to school and need that little caffeine booster," said Lindsey Litton, of Almost Heaven Desserts.

Litton said more people seem to come in late at night when it gets even colder outside.
