The City of Clarksburg has dedicated a bridge to the memory of the man who designed it.
The Goff Plaza Bridge was built in 1987 and was renamed for John Charles Giese.
Giese was an engineer in Clarksburg for more than 50 years.
Giese designed more than 600 of the $6,000 plus bridges in West Virginia.
His son Chris was on hand for Friday's dedication.
City and state officials, former coworkers, and family members spoke at the ceremony.
