The Preston County Sheriff's Department arrested a man on drug charges last week.
Daniel Shawn Dewitt was taken into custody on January 19 and charged with possession with the intent to distribute a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance, according to a press release sent Friday from the sheriff's department.
Sheriff's deputies served a search warrant at Dewitt's residence where they found bottles of Bupenorhine (Subutex) pills. Deputies said they believe Dewitt was selling the pills.
They also found substances and containers of seeds consistent with that of marijuana, according to the press release.
