Plans to build natural gas stations in our area will be a big help to a Lewis County town.

Jane Lew is one of three locations in West Virginia where new natural gas fueling station will be built over the next year.

The stations will sell natural gas to vehicles along the Interstate 79 corridor.

Some gas companies have already committed to refueling their vehicles at the stations, something the town of Jane Lew looks forward to.

"It's a boon for our town, being part of the Corridor H beginning going southbound on I-79, and we feel it'll bring more people into town, more companies, rather," said Jane Lew Mayor Charlie Straley.

A fourth station will be just across the state line in Pennsylvania.

They are slated to be open by 2014.
