MORGANTOWN -

The Waterfront Place Hotel in Morgantown held its 10th Annual Bridal Extravaganza Sunday.

Around 50 vendors attended the extravaganza this year, which is more than they've ever had.

Local brides were able to browse cakes, dresses, and even look for photographers.

Some said it's the perfect way to wedding plan.

"This is a time for them to taste the hors d'oeuvres for their weddings, it's a time to meet the vendors that the hotel recommends. Which are almost all of them in here I might add," said Deborah Matthews, the Director of Catering at The Waterfront Place Hotel.

Matthews said the Bridal Extravaganza is a great way to introduce brides to the local vendors in this area.

"It's to just meet and greet and it's a time for us to showcase our hotel, our event center, our staff and what we can do," she said.

It's also a good way for the vendors to get the word out about what they offer for weddings.

"This is a nice way to meet people, meet brides, new brides. Cupcakes are the thing for weddings now. People are really looking to do cupcakes, see how they can do them. Whether they want a tower of cupcakes or for favors, we can do that too," said Anna Carrier, co-owner of the Cupcakerie in Morgantown.

Future brides and grooms got the chance to try out the cupcakes, and everything else the other vendors had to offer.
