WVU Journalism School, U.S. Information Defense School Establish Academic Partnership

Posted: Updated:

WVU has established an academic partnership between the P.I. Reed School of Journalism and the US Defense Information School.

DINFOS is the Pentagon's premier center for public affairs and visual information training.

This partnership is the first of its kind.

WVU said veterans and military personnel from the university and DINFOS will be able to learn from each other.

"I think there's a lot we can learn from that and I think that our faculty will really enjoy looking at some of their students and looking at both the similarities and difference of how we teach those skills," said Maryanne Reed, dean of the P.I. Reed School of Journalism at WVU.

The program will bring the military photographer of the year to the university for a guest lecture.
