The Preston County Commission heard a proposal from Terra Alta on using electronic voting machines for municipal elections.

The commission agreed to work out rough costs for the project and present them at next Monday's meeting.

Terra Alta said more than 600 people have voted in recent municipal elections.

The commission said if Terra Alta gets the option to vote electronically, every community in the county will also get that opportunity.
