Glenville State College Library Participating in 'WV Reads 150' Program

Another local college library is challenging its community to keep up on its reading.

The Robert Kidd Library at Glenville State College is participating in the West Virginia Library Commission's "WV Reads 150" program.

The program encourages individuals and groups to read 150 books before the end of the year as part of the state's sesquicentennial celebration.

The library's staff said it's a good idea at any time.

"But you need your mind challenged with the reading, too, the creativity that reading brings and the vision in your mind when you read something, it's just a healthy response people need," said Ginny Yeager, of Glenville State College.

Glenville State's library also is challenging the Gilmer Public Library to see which staff can read more over the same period.
