Update

The City of Fairmont Water Treatment Plant has lifted the boil water advisory for residents of Hillcrest Road, Cabin Trail, Greenbrier Road, and the surrounding areas.

Original Story

The City of Fairmont Water Treatment Plant has issued a boil water notice following a line break.

Residents of Hillcrest RD, Cabin Trail, Greenbrier Road, and the surrounding areas are advised to not drink water without boiling it first.

If service has been interrupted, or if water is discolored, the Water Treatment Plant advises residents to use boiled or bottled water for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, bathing, and/or food preparation.

The advisory is in effect until further notice.
