FRENCH CREEK -

The West Virginia Wildlife Center said French Creek Freddie is poised to forecast an early spring on Saturday, Feb. 2.

The wildlife center has relied on Freddie's official weather prediction since 1978.

It expects a big crowd this year, because Feb. 2, Groundhog Day, falls on a Saturday.

The fun will start at 9:45 a.m. at the center's new amphitheater.
