Several Marion County groups met Tuesday night to discuss how to improve communications between all of the groups.
The Marion County Development Authority, Main Street Fairmont, and the Fairmont Planning Commission are some groups that have been working to improve economic development in the county.
The goal is to get everyone on the same page and attract businesses to Marion County.
"Our economic director decided to put this little luncheon together to invite every entity in the county together to see what we can do as a joint effort to bring economic development into Marion County, it was very successful. We all want to work together," said Randy Elliot, Marion County commissioner.
The Marion County Development Authority said the next step is to have all of the county's mayors meet and get on the same page.
