WV Health Care Authority Approves Rate Hikes at 15 Hospitals

If you have to stay in a hospital be prepared to pay more.

The West Virginia Health Care Authority has approved rate hikes at 15 hospitals.

The authority said the hikes will enable the hospitals to keep up with rising costs.

Four hospitals of the 15 hospitals are in our area. Rates at United Hospital Center and Davis Memorial Hospital will go up by four percent.

WVU Hospitals will raise rates by six percent and Fairmont General, by eight percent.
