CLARKSBURG -

A four vehicle accident in Harrison County on Wednesday sent one person to the hospital.

It happened just before 5:00 p.m. on Route 50 near Bridgeport Hill Road.

Clarksburg police said one vehicle was traveling east when its brakes stopped working. They said the driver pulled the emergency brake, which caused the car to go off the road.

That caused three other vehicles to wreck.

The driver of one of those vehicles went to the United Hospital Center.

The police said the driver of the vehicle that caused the accident will face charges.
