Country Roads Transit has asked the Upshur County Commission for more funding.
Country Roads provides public transportation services for Upshur and Randolph Counties.
It said transit runs for kids to the Upshur County Pool were successful last summer and that it plans to do it again this summer.
Country Roads said it wants to raise awareness that this and other services are available to anyone.
"We can transport people like Wesleyan students to their classes," said Laura Ward, of Country Roads Transit. "We also transport a lot of folks to medical appointments which is a vital service, and we can take people shopping, so any of their transportation needs we can meet."
The commission said it will make its decision sometime next month.
