The Davis Health System will join a national movement Friday to raise women's awareness about heart disease.
Employees will participate in their 10th year of National Wear Red Day.
Heart disease is the number one killer of women.
And the Davis Health System is encouraging all adults to take charge of their heart health during the month of February.
"Women aren't often aware that heart disease is their number one health issue and also they may not be aware that symptoms of heart disease in a heart attack can be different for a woman than a man," said Marjory Moses, of Davis Health System.
The Davis Health System will offer a free heart health seminar on Feb 13. at 6 p.m. in the cafeteria overflow room and heart screenings will be offered on Feb. 14 from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. at HomePlus in Elkins.
