The West Virginia Association of School Administrator's conference has a new addition this year: A conversation with legislators.

Superintendents from around the state were in Bridgeport Thursday to discuss topics ranging from the education audit to upcoming legislative issues that affect the school systems.

Harrison County Superintendent Susan Collins said she's excited about the conference and what's to come.

"I think this is the time that if there's ever going to be a change, that our legislators are in place and because of the audit, they have something to base their decisions that they make on," Collins said.

The conference is a two-day event and will continue Friday.

Collins said it's also a wonderful opportunity to learn about other school districts.
