3 WV Fire Departments to Receive Federal Funding

Three West Virginia fire departments have been awarded more than $167,000 in federal funding to purchase safety equipment and strengthen training.

The Tunnelton Volunteer Fire Department will receive $48,759, the McKinleyville Volunteer Fire Department in Wellsburg, W.Va., will receive $104,500, and Triadelphia Volunteer Fire Department in Triadelphia, W.Va., will receive $14,335.

The funding is provided by the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program, which is run by FEMA.
