Buckhannon Police Investigating Fatal 3 Vehicle Accident

The Buckhannon Police Department is investigating a fatal three vehicle accident in Upshur County.

The accident occurred at approximately 7:38 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of WBUC Road and Route 33 in Buckhannon.

A 1998 Oldsmobile driven by Porscha Heston, 22 of Carolina, W.Va., was exiting the WBUC Road onto Route 33 east when her vehicle was struck on the driver's side by a 1986 Mercury Grand Marquis driven by Carl Mick of Weston, according to the police department.

Police said the force of the impact caused the Oldsmobile to skid across Route 33 into the westbound lane, where it was then clipped by a 2006 Ford Ranger driven by Colton Hall of Weston.

Heston died as a result of injuries sustained in the accident, police said.

Upshur County EMS, the Warren District Fire Department, the Buckhannon Fire Department, and the Upshur County Sheriff's Department also responded to the scene.
